Thailand is currently facing major labor shortage issues, and the root of this lies in the absence of quality education and adequate infrastructure provided for Thai students. A high-quality educational system is the bedrock of a capable workforce, which, in turn, is instrumental in propelling economic development to the next level.
Although Thailand’s government places a high priority on education, budget constraints have led to diminished educational standards, poor-quality infrastructure, and limited access to quality education. The average Thai student-to-teacher ratio stands at a staggering 55 to 1, and many students must endure journeys of up to 40 miles to receive an education. Schools are often in a state of disrepair, posing safety hazards and struggling with overcrowding.
This summer, HXP Builders will construct additional classrooms at a school in a local village. These new classrooms will expand access to a secure educational environment for more students in the community, creating a pathway to future employment opportunities and the means to support these students and their families.
