2024 Project Story: Philippines San Pablo

The Philippines has the highest risk of natural disasters out of every country in the world, and repeated food shortages have taken a toll on the nutritional well-being of Filipino students. In 2019, a surprising 29 percent of Filipino children between the ages of 0 and 5 suffered from such severe malnutrition that it stunted their growth. Persistent financial challenges and cyclical poverty have exacerbated the educational divide, a predicament that has only increased due to the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

This summer, HXP Builders will play a pivotal role in making a difference for these students by constructing facilities within schools for the provision of food. This project is a vital initiative aimed at addressing the nutritional requirements of 245 Filipino students in San Pablo. Through the establishment of these well-equipped spaces for meal provision, our Builders will contribute significantly to the fight against hunger and malnutrition, ensuring that these Filipino children have the vigor and concentration necessary for them to excel academically.
