2024 Project Story: Indonesia Bali

Indonesia is currently grappling with soaring poverty rates, limited access to education and healthcare, and ongoing political instability. While the Indonesian government has made substantial strides in improving education in recent years, Indonesian schools still require support to enhance the quality of education and provide the necessary resources for success.

Approximately 70 percent of Indonesia’s population resides in rural areas, where farming, fishing, and other agricultural-based livelihoods serve as the primary sources of income. Poverty is particularly acute in these remote regions, making it imperative to address the pressing need for improved education and essential infrastructure for Indonesian students. A high-quality educational system is the cornerstone of a capable workforce.

This summer, HXP Builders will play a pivotal role in addressing these pressing issues by constructing a children’s learning center for disadvantaged children. The kids that will benefit from this construction project are severely at-risk due to lack of education and unemployment in the area. HXP is partnering with a local university which will send university students to teach skills and tutor the local children. The work HXP Builders will do this summer will have a generational impact in the community.
