2023 COVID-19 Information

If your 2023 HXP trip location is on this list, there are COVID-19 requirements for tourists entering the country. Keep reading to review those requirements and begin planning accordingly.

If you bring a COVID-19 vaccine card, you will need the real, physical card—no copies, no lamination. If you provide a negative COVID-19 test, make sure that it is an official test that includes your legal name (as it appears on your passport) and the test type. Pay attention to the required test type and timeframe so you don’t run into problems while boarding your international flight!

These requirements are subject to change, so please revisit this blog post one month and one week before your trip departs to check for updates and ensure that you didn’t miss anything.

*Countries with multiple trip locations, i.e. Ghana Accra & Ghana Cape Coast, only have one set of details.

HXP Trip Locations with COVID-19 Requirements for Travelers

Vaccine Required? No.

What are the COVID-19 requirements for  travelers?

  • If you are fully vaccinated (booster not required), you do not have to take a COVID-19 test in order to travel to Bolivia.
  • If you are not fully vaccinated, you must provide negative pre-departure PCR or Antigen test. Rapid antigen tests must be taken within 48 hours of boarding your international flight, PCR tests must be taken with 72 hours. Make sure to pay attention to your flight details (found under the “Flight Information” tab of your Builder Portal) and plan accordingly.

Vaccine Required? No.

What are the COVID-19 requirements for  travelers?

  • If you are fully vaccinated (booster not required), you do not have to take a COVID-19 test in order to travel to Colombia.
  • If you are not fully vaccinated, you must provide negative pre-departure PCR or Antigen test. Rapid antigen tests must be taken within 48 hours of boarding your international flight, PCR tests must be taken with 72 hours. Make sure to pay attention to your flight details (found under the “Flight Information” tab of your Builder Portal) and plan accordingly.
Vaccine Required? No. What are the requirements for travelers? Jordan does not have any required vaccines or medications, but travelers must fill out this form within 72 hours of international departure in order to enter the country. The entry form will ask for the following information:
  • Personal information—name, date of birth, passport number, nationality, country/region of residence, email address, and active mobile phone number. Fill this out accordingly.
  • Length of stay – 16 days
  • Crossing point – Queen Alia International Airport
  • Arrival date – one day after the first day of your trip (it will be a Wednesday)
  • Purpose of travel – Tourism
  • Your stay in Jordan will be – Rented Accommodation
  • Address in Jordan – King Hussein Street Amman, Jordan
You will immediately receive a QR code and a confirmation that you are able to board a flight to Jordan! You must bring the QR code with you to the airport in order to board the flight.

Vaccine Required? No.

What are the requirements for non-vaccinated travelers?

  • There are no required pre-departure COVID-19 tests to travel to South Africa.
  • If you are fully vaccinated (booster not required), you do not have to take a COVID-19 test in order to travel to Mozambique after visiting South Africa (first-weekend sightseeing).
  • To travel from South Africa to Mozambique, any group members that are not fully vaccinated will take a PCR test at the border (coordinated by HXP). This test is not covered in the cost of your trip—please bring $25 USD (cash) to pay for the test.

Vaccine Required? No.

What are the COVID-19 requirements for  travelers?

  • If you are fully vaccinated (booster not required), you do not have to take a COVID-19 test in order to travel to the Philippines.
  • If you are not fully vaccinated, you must provide negative pre-departure Antigen test. This COVID-19 test must be taken within 24 hours of boarding your international flight, so pay attention to your flight details (found under the “Flight Information” tab of your Builder Portal) and plan accordingly.

Vaccine Required? Yes, for travelers 18-years-old and older. If you are a minor, you are not required to be fully vaccinated in order to travel to Zimbabwe.

What are the requirements for non-vaccinated travelers?

  • To travel from Kenya (your first weekend of sightseeing) to Zimbabwe, any group members that are not fully vaccinated will take a PCR test (coordinated by HXP). This test is not covered in the cost of your trip—please bring $25 USD (cash) to pay for the second test.
  • There are no Covid-19 related requirements for travelers headed to Kenya.

U.S. Traveler Requirements

As of May 12, 2023, noncitizen nonimmigrant air passengers no longer need to show proof of being fully vaccinated with an accepted COVID-19 vaccine to board a flight to the United States.
