BUILD Mainland Packing List
Regional Variations
Because you are traveling to your trip on your own, you don’t have baggage requirements. However, we suggest bringing no more than a personal item (backpack) and a standard-sized carry on so you don’t have to deal with a ton of stuff during your trip.
You will not have time to do laundry while you’re on your trip. If you’d like to do laundry in the sink for things like socks and underwear, we recommend powder detergent for best cleaning/packing balance.
You’ll want about $50-200 spending money for souvenirs/snacks, depending on what kind of spender you are. Make sure you get cash out before the trip, or check your card to make sure it’s working correctly!
If you are planning to travel as an unaccompanied minor, check out this blog post for more guidelines by airline.
