Careers

Every day, we receive job inquiries from people who want to be part of the HXP magic and work at our basecamp in SLC. Keep reading for more details about career opportunities and how you can get involved with our organization. After you review this information, if you have more questions about getting involved or think you have a skill that doesn’t fit these descriptions, you can contact our office via email at info@hxp.org with the subject “HXP Careers”.

Currently, we hire directly from 3 sources, through our Trip Leader team, Fellowship (internship) Program, and open positions (usually available before a new calendar year, around August):

Trip Leaders

Our incredible Trip Leaders have always set our organization apart. Behind every life-changing experience is an amazing leader—they truly are our secret sauce! They not only go above and beyond to love Builders as their own, but they also serve as mentors, motivators, and supporters before, during, and after trips.

Applications for this upcoming summer are now OPEN! Click the link below to begin the application process:

Fellowship Program

Our internship program is the main place we hire from. As a fellow, you’ll get the opportunity to experience the ins and outs of a global nonprofit and witness how everything works firsthand.

Humanitarian Experience began in 1999 when Glen Bingham took his 16-year-old son, David to visit his LDS mission in Brazil to do service—the rest is history! Over the last several years, HXP has grown into a multi-million dollar, international organization that now blesses the lives of people all over the world. In 2023, we are projected to send about 6,000 Builders to 57 global locations throughout the world.

While we are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, HXP is run like a for-profit business. As an intern, you will be heavily involved in managing the day-to-day logistics of our operations. You will have areas of ownership specific to your skills and interests and would be considered a full member of our basecamp team. This volunteer position is 3 months long and requires a minimum of 12 hours a week with at least 7 of those hours on Friday to attend our office all-hands meeting.

Once you’ve applied for the fellowship (linked below), send an email to fellows@hxp.org so we can review your application. We accept applicants on rolling basis based on office need.

Open Positions

We rarely have open positions, but when we do, they will be listed on our “Open Positions” blog post (linked below).
